LAGTANG ES READING PROGRAM WITH ALTERNATIVE LEARNING SYSTEM (ALS ) VOLUNTEER

ALTERNATIVE LEARNING SYSTEM ( ALS)  is a parallel learning system in the Philippines that provides a practical option to the existing formal instruction. When one does not have or cannot access formal education in schools, ALS is an alternate or substitute. ALS includes both the non-formal and informal sources of knowledge and skills.

THE DIFFERENCE YOU CAN MAKE AS A READING VOLUNTEER

ALS Reading volunteers also enjoy the special time they get to spend with young children. Many volunteers have heart-warming stories to share about the children they read to. The ALS READING volunteers know that they are inspiring young children with a proved educational strategy.

ALS Volunteers are extremely busy but they just have the heart to help. “You make a living by what you get. You make a life by what you give.” “Volunteers are the only human beings on the face of the earth who reflect this nation’s compassion, unselfish caring, patience, and just plain loving one another.”

Once again, in behalf of Lagtang Elementary School teaching staff with our very supportive School Head Leslie C. Boles, we are proudly grateful of what ALS READING VOLUNTEER  have done to our program. You taught us the essence of cooperation for a successful reading program. Hopefully, this would be an eye opener for the other organization of what ALS READING VOLUNTEER can do and the importance of their presence.

Thank you so much ALS  READING volunteers spearheaded by Franklin Cabatingan ( ALS COORDINATOR, ALUBIJID DISTRICT)  for your support of our reading program in LAGTANG ES.
